Oh me, oh my, aren't they cute? Brother and sister, children of my children's kindergarten teacher. So far 3 of my 5 children have had the same kindergarten teacher, and each year....something monumental happened in her life. When Addi had her, she got married. When Drew had her, she had a baby boy. When Bryna had her, she had a baby girl. Hmmmmm....I keep wondering what may happen when Elli has her. :) This is only a sneak peek of more to come. I've been editing photos for months now, and I am finally getting ready to post a TON! Stay tuned!

I had the wonderful pleasure and privelege to photograh Baby M. She is the foster daughter of some of my closest friends, and I was blessed to be one of her caregivers last year. These are her one year old photos....I can't believe a year has gone by, since M came to live with them and bless our lives. I simply adore her, and so do all those who know her.

Please pray for my church family and my pastor's family....he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, and we are hurting. We take comfort in knowing that God is walking with us through this, and we will continue to do the good works that God was showing us through our pastor Ken.
I cannot take credit for this unbelievable photo of Ken and the African children to whom he ministered, but it sums him up perfectly! I miss him so much already. We don't grieve for the one that's gone, but we grieve for the ones that are left behind.

This is my best friend....we have been friends for 30 years which is amazing, since we are both barely 30 years old...HA! Seriously, isn't she gorgeous? She's always been and always will be gorgeous. In fact, when we go shopping....I always make her try on all sorts of cute young hip clothes; because....well....I can! Her boys are the same age as my 2nd and 3rd children, and her youngest thinks we're all related! So cute!

I do have to admit that I have twin envy and would have been thrilled to have twins....double the baby time....so I live vicariously through the twins I photograph....and their siblings! Two of the cuteste little cowboys you ever laid eyes on....yessirree! B & L....brothers are our youth pastor, Jenny's, littles! Aren't they the cutest? I had the privelege of shooting L's birth announcement photo last year, and now he's ONE! WOW....time flies when you're having fun! B is one of my Elliot's best buddies too! A good family friend from church asked me to photograph her beautiful children. I love photographing folks I know....especially when I get to "know" them a little better! Her children, as you can see, are just lovely human beings and quite photogenic. C, her son, was not as into the shoot as C, her daughter, was; but....I can honestly say I haven't known many boys that LOVED getting their picture made near as much as girls do! Nonetheless he can't deny that he takes a great photo. I have a vision in my head for a future shoot with them....

I had SOOOOOO much fun with this shoot. I love this family so very much. These are two sisters and their families. I'll be doing photos of the other two sisters in a few weeks. The family of 8 are some of our dearest friends. In fact, their teenage daughter and my teenage daughter are BFFs! I have known these parents for 30+ years. How can that be, since I'm only 29? ;)

WOW....was this fun! I had a session with one of my son's best friends and her family this past weekend, and it was grand. They are the perfect family to shoot, because they will do about anything I ask; and the kids even provided some really great suggestions! It's been a while since I've posted....sorry! I had the honor of shooting photos for a multi generational family this past weekend. A grandmother, a mother, a daughter, and two grandchildren. I highly recommend all families shooting photos with their grandparents, parents, grandchildren, children; because if you don't....there will be someday that you wished you had!

This is our children's pastor....he is the grandpa of this family!

I was blessed by this family this past year. I was given the opportunity to keep these little twins in my home during the school year. Oh how we have missed them, since school has been out. My Elli has asked me over and over again when we could go and pick the boys up to come and play. Although little H was not thrilled to be doing photos, we were able to capture a few of him smiling! His big brother, H, was quite the trooper...always smiling!
I LOVE this photo....even though mama is not looking at the camera....you can tell by her expression how much she loves her house full of testosterone!

I had the privelege and honor of photographing one of my dearest and most gorgeous friend's family. This is her, her parents, her 4 siblings (one set of twins included), their spouses, and all of their children.... Aren't they fabulous? I thought so, and believe it or not....really easy to shoot. Of course her boys are use to me sticking my camera in their handsome faces fairly often, so they're old pros!

Notice all the princes and one lone princess!

I still haven't figured out how my gorgeous friend always seems to avoid being in the photo with her handsome fellas....but that....my friend....will soon change! I must photograph her with these gorgeous creatures at some point. I must!

Skateboards, dogs, mom, dad and the boy! Can it get any better? Notice the "Free SK8" logo? That was created by the boy! This family had not had family photos made, since their son....the boy....was 7 months old. He is now 9, and it's about time. I was so honored to be the one to shoot them. By the way, this mama was my son's teacher; and she has a gift and a heart for special needs children. She was and will always be a blessing to us.

Oh Me Oh My....where do I start? I shot C and J's wedding on Saturday, and it was mighty grand. Thanks to my dear sweet photographer friend, Abbey, for coming and helping with the shoot. I couldn't have done it without you! C & J's wedding was such a sweet, heartfelt, down to earth wedding; and I was honored to be a part of it.

I had the most fun shooting this family....who knew that twenty something year old boys could be so into being photographed? I work with C, the mama of this brood, at the preschool at my church! I've known her for years. She is a wonderfully sweet and charming lady....and so are her husband and children! And can I say that I've never seen such straight white teeth on 8 individuals from the same family! No touch ups needed there!

My husband took these photos of our son at his favorite event all year....A Day Out With Thomas! My son is a special needs child....he has Fragile X and Autism! He looks forward to this day all year, and he LOVES it....yes more than Christmas or his birthday! Up until a few years ago, he would never allow us to willingly take his photo which as a photographer......is devastating! Now he works well with the camera! If you have a special needs child or loved one and are weary of photo sessions, just know I've been there....done that. We can always give it a try.

I had the pleasure of photographing one of my Lifelong Friend's daughters and granddaughters on Saturday! Needless to say, I've known these beauties their entire lives. I can't believe I am old enough to be a grandmother! I can't tell you how much fun I had with them. Mother and daughter are both naturals and sooooo photogenic! I took almost 300 shots of them, because they were so into it. I LOVED so many of the photos from this session, and I am putting my favorites first....Oh who am I kidding? They were all my favorites! I heart the ~~cowboy~~ cowgirl boots.

I photographed one of my favorite almost 2 year olds yesterday. She's so stinkin' cute and has the most beautifully perfect heart shaped mouth and big brown eyes....AND....she's quite stylish as you will see!!!! Thank You Gracie for a great shoot! Thank You Gracie's mommy for singing "Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun....Please Shine Down On Me" and "The Wheels On The Bus", so I could get some shots of Gracie singing and dancing in her tutu!!!

Our cousins came to visit this weekend....all the way from Louisiana....we heard "Who Dat?" a lot. We ate King Cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner.....well at least I did! We decided to do some photos....in the snow....which is....well....quite messy but also quite COOL (da-da-da-dum)! Even though the kids hadn't seen each other in almost 18 months, they acted like they were together every weekend. We're so glad they came to visit!

This weekend, I had the privelege of shooting the K family. This is an amazing family who have overcome lots of things and who exude LOVE. I wrote about this mama on my personal blog, and she is one of the bravest and most passionate ladies I know. I have the utmost respect for her. Her husband and son are equally as fabulous, and I appreciate them trudging through the very cold weather to capture these wonderful moments. There are a few photos, from this session, that I captured while we were planning our next spot....in other words....they were not planned; and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!

An adorable sister and brother session. L who is the 6 year old big sister is a natural. She was the perfect client. B who is the 2 year old little brother chose not to nap that day and was sleeping in the car when they arrived for the session. After he got over the sleepies, he too was the perfect client. Such sweethearts!

I love this picture of B....his seriousness is so stinkin' cute!
